The columbarium is a facility for housing and mourning the remains of residents with no one to retrieve them. It was newly built in 1976 after deterioration led to rain leakage in the previous columbarium. The establishment of this new building was carried out as a commemorative undertaking to celebrate the residents’ association’s 50th anniversary. Presently, approximately 1400 urns are stored in this columbarium. The urns are placed from left to right, ordered by year of death. However, the urns of deceased residents who were related, such as parents and children or siblings, may sometimes be rearranged by a surviving resident who is aware of these circumstances. This way, the urns can remain together even after death.
